The Lord’s word on Confusion:
What can be known from the Lord’s word about confusion?
1. God is not the author of confusion I Cor 14:[33] For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
2. Where is it found? Where there is envying and strife. See Jas 3:[14] But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
[15] This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
[16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Confusion is merely and indicator that unholy wisdom has been applied, causing some to lie against the truth.
3. Can this thwart God’s plan? Paul addresses this in Phillipians 1:[14] And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
[15] Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
[16] The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
[17] But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
4. What did the Jews (OT) know about confusion? Lev 18:[23] Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
5. Another kind of confusion: Lev 20:[12] And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.
This may be understood, by a man trying to explain “My son is also my Grandson.”
6. The punishment is Lev 20:[13] If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
[14] And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.
[15] And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
[16] And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
As with homosexuality, they are worthy of death.
7. How can we avoid confusion? 2 Cor 11:[3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Stick to the simplicity that is in Christ!
